- "I wish these blades existed when I was competing in the
Olympic Games, it would have been a real advantage... The
lighter weight is very noticeable when lifting my legs.
I am active on my blades 5 hours a day, 6 days a week and
have not needed to sharpen my blades in many, many months!
Charles Butler - 1998 U.S. Olympic Ice Dancer
- "I was first introduced to the Paramount blades about a year ago as I was recuperating from a stress fracture in my foot. My coach handed me one of the blades and I thought WOW this is so light. He asked me if I wanted to be one of the first to try this new blade. I admit, I was a little apprehensive, but I agreed.
I'll never forget the first day I skated with them. It took about five minutes to realize "this is the blade for me!" I felt so in control of my skating. It was AWESOME! They felt so light and comfortable. I feel the Paramount blades are a true benefit to my skating... I love all the cool colors they come in!!!"
Rhiana Brammeier - 2006 U.S. Figure Skating Ladies National
Champion - Novice Level
- "...At ADALLC we had been told that the Paramount Blades might be more difficult to sharpen than the standard configuration - but we did not find them to be so. On the contrary, they took a beautiful edge - even under our microscope. Very smooth! We have just completed an initial sharpening on a new pair of Pattern 99 "Parabolics" in comparison, and could not obtain comparable edge quality, due primarily to the very rough "brushed" appearance of their chrome relief facets - which defeat any attempt to match the edges obtainable on your 440 stainless steel..."
Jim a sharpener from ADALLC
- "...I've been skating on the blades a lot lately because I'm guest skating in a couple shows coming up and I like them a lot. I've also got to say I'm extremely impressed with how long they stay sharp."
Eric Leser - Jr. Grand Prix Competitor - Pairs
- "...they are working great I really think that they are generating more power for me in all aspects of my skating.... spinning on them has been really great. I feel more control and I am spinning faster, longer, and centering very easily."
Daniel Lee - Senior Men
- "...Kelsey's double axle and triple jumps are getting bigger and better, due in part to the Paramount blades."
John Traunero
- "...These blades are awesome, I really like how big the toe pick is because it is like that Pattern 99 blade which I have been skating on ever since I was like 7 or 8 years old..."
Kristen Mita
- "...I had to write in and tell you how much I love my new pink blades. With these new blades I have noticed a drastic improvement! The height and speed of my jumps has increased notably. I no longer have to put as much effort into "skating" around the rink. My absolute favorite thing (besides the pink color) about my paramount blades is my edges! I can make solid edges with little effort. I am also able to trace patterns on the ice with no forced edges. Best of all, my overall technique with my jumps is near perfect! Thank you so much for a wonderful product!"
